Happy New Year boys and girls! More likely, girls :)
And Happy New Fashion Year! For several years, fashion year starts with pre-fall collections. And each year more and more designers join this worldwide movement. Why do they do it? The answer is simple - they want to put new clothes in their boutiques in May. Thus, the overall number of collections is 6 - 2 main collections, 2 resort and 2 pre-collections. And that means new clothes every 2 months. What can we say?! The world gets faster.

But let's not talk about sad things. Let's talk about
Erdem Pre-fall 2012. Erdem is a wonderful British product. The clothes are designed by...
Erdem Moralioglu (received an award of
British Fashion Council, founded his own brand in 2005, is generally a nice guy).

In Pre-Fall 2012 the designer has gathered all his favourite tricks - prints, knee-length skirts, peculiar trenchcoats, flowers and colours. The lookbook is a little bit disappointing. Although it's only a pre-collection, so it doesn't have to be particularly original.

And now let's mark the 20th February of 2012 in our calendars - the day of the Fall 2012 Erdem show, one of the highlights of London Fashion Week. We know for sure one person who will be following the runway show attentively -
the Duchess of Cambridge, who showed her love for Erdem during her official visit to Canada this past summer.

P.S. If New Year's holidays gave you a little bit of free time you might find interesting the following two reviews of Erdem Pre-fall collection written by

A bientôt!
